If you want to know what I think...

...it is yes, yes, yes. I have always fantasized of having a home built around a courtyard where all of the interior rooms open to the courtyard. I stayed in a hotel in Aix many years ago and it had such life because it was designed that way. This is a bit different, as the pool is in the center, but I think it is gorgeous all the same.....and could make do.

You?

  1. HI Ticklish, I am with you on the courtyard. The Romans did and so did the Moroccons. Would love to have one of my own one day. Carla

  3. Lovely, but I prefer a court yard. I used to be a sleep walker (and you never know!). Haha!\

    Hope all is well.

  5. I have the very same dream and fully intend to make it come true. Until then, I'll keep my eyes glued to this image, which I have been drooling over the last few days as well.

  9. I too love courtyards, they are so cozy and you feel so protected and almost cuddled by the buildings around you. Houses in southern Sweden often have them, and I've always dreamed of having one myself.

  10. Awesome! I might prefer a garden with a fountain in the courtyard, but a house built around it? A hundred times yes!
